Pretty Pictures: Workspaces

Having been self-employed for the past several years, I have had the privilege of working from home and having my own little office. My office in Scotland was pure pleasure…the attic space of a former Georgian Townhouse. Though tiny, it was a jewel box. I loved being surrounded each day by my art, photos of friends, handwritten notes and stacks of books and magazines (witness image above). Now that I am setting up my office in Texas, I am once again looking at some of my favorite workspaces for inspiration. I would love to see your offices/desks and/or favorite images. Perhaps there is another blog post in the making. If you would like to share, please email me at

Hi Rhonda, I love your office in Scotland. The beauty of the gray walls highlighted by the basalt bowl filled with flowers sets the tone. I know that your new space will reflect perfectly this current adventure. xoxo Mary
Love this post! It fascinates me to see the workspaces of other creatives!
One of my news resolutions is to make over my office and make it more of studio than a place to collect bolts and piles of fabric and pillows. I have started with the great purge and already feel better about the space.
I love a good purge! Best wishes!
I love these spaces! I totally agree with Carrie that it’s interesting to see other creative ideas for the home office. My dream office would have floor to ceiling bookshelves
Love these pretty offices. A great office inspires! Great post.http://bates-design.blogspot.com/
So inspirational to be able to see the order and aura that contributes to others’ creative processes. I am also looking forward to getting my art studio to a state of beauty as well as function.
Thank you for sharing.
