Home Tour: Dr. Quinn Peeper & Michael Harold

The word gracious only begins to scratch the surface when describing Quinn Peeper, Michael Harold and their amazing New Orleans home. Chris and I were so very fortunate to have such delightful hosts and tour guides for the weekend. Quinn and Michael have the unique talent of making guests feel simultaneously at home, relaxed, spoiled and honored.
It’s wonderful to see a city through the eyes of a local, especially if it’s New Orleans native Michael Harold. To say that Michael, who grew up in New Orleans, seems to know everyone would be a monumental understatement. As we walked down Magazine Street cars would honk, passersby would wave, and shops owners offered huge, friendly hellos.
Over the weekend we were introduced to a colorful cast of characters. NOLA has certainly cast a spell, and I can’t wait to share the raw talent and energy of the city with all of you. I will be devoting this week to the fabulous Crescent City. Enjoy the photos of Quinn and Michael’s home.

Wow! Their home is absolutely beautiful. It is what I imagine a true New Orleans southern-inspired home to be. How fortunate you were to have been given a personal tour. I especially love the 5th picture of the settee and chair ensemble, with the light filtering into the room and creating such a great glow. I suppose it helps to have those gigantic gold moldings at the ceiling! Beautiful! Do they give tours?
Rebecca,
Their home is AMAZING! We were so lucky to be invited as house guests. We had the whole 3rd floor to ourselves…and I FORGOT to take pictures! I'll just have to go back and do it again!
Oh Ronda! Where do I begin to tell you how much we enjoyed being with you and Chris this weekend! You really were so fortunate to become friends with Michael and Quinn who are so very delightful and extraordinary hosts who have one of the most gracious and beautiful homes anywhere, let alone New Orleans! We hope to see you again very soon!
Love,
Julie
Julie we had soooo much fun! We just loved all of you!! I do wish we lived closer. We will just have to come more often.
Much love,

What a lovely home, indeed. I really hate to admit this but those images stir that green eyed monster in me. I try so hard to tame that monster but when I look at a home like this…
Truly, what I find most charming are both the hosts in bow ties! Gotta love that!
Just a magnificent and gracious home, lovely.
One room is more beautiful than the other! I can't even say I have a favorite as they all have something going on that I love. Looking forward to your posts on your visit.
Quintessential New Orleans!
Perfect.
I had the lovely pleasure to work with Quinn last year. Your description of his graciousness is exactly what I would imagine.
Tricia – Avolli
Caron I know what you mean! If they were not so lovely I would feel the same way!
New Orleans is one of my very favorite cities, it has such a wonderful European flair. Their home is in a word, stunning. Thanks for sharing!
A well designed and lived home, the library in particular attracted me and you are right, seeing a city through the eye of a local is priceless.
New Orleans was once my stomping grounds and the homes in the French Quarter are such a surprise of what is behind the gates! Lovely home this one is, I love the apple green drapes in the DR!
A really special weekend, with wonderfully talented hosts. I love the images and look forward to hearing more!
I so envy you going to New Orleans! I haven't been since before the hurricane and loved it! Hope you're having a lovely time in the USA! Viva America! I do look forward to meeting you in Berlin this September!
My goodness that's beautiful!
Incredibly magnificent home and how wonderfully the light must move about the rooms during the day. The evenings must be enchanting. Oh New Orleans! Thank you for the wonderful photos.
What a beautiful home, I am not sure if I have ever seen gilded trim and I love it!
amazing house, I think it's the lighting that makes it (which is so often the case!).
I love these images – what a house!
Thanks for the pics Ronda! You have inspired me to make plans and take Michael up on his kind offer of southern hospitality. XXOO
Oh you should! He and Quinn are the BEST!!!
