No, the title isn’t a typo. I just have no idea how to get my blog to come up on a google search. Anything that I have posted as title will come up near the top of a search, so I thought I would post the name of my blog in a title. (Nothing wrong with a little shameless self-promotion, right?) If there is a better way please let me know. I’m sure there are many readers who are more computer savvy than I am.
    Many thanks!
p.s. I thought I would post a nice picture for good measure.

Hi Ronda, you have to add your url to google. Here is the link,

I don’t think it happens overnight but eventually, you’ll pop up when someone googles you.

No need to add your site to google, its already in the index, you can tell if you search on your URL you’ll see results.

I think the problem here is that its kind of a competitive term and google also kind of discounts words like “the” and “all”.

But as far as search engine friendliness goes, it would probably behoove you to change your settings so that your page title’s read the name of the post first and then the name of your blog. This is because google puts the most weight on the page title and if someone is doing a search on say “Lynn Von Kersting” it would show your page higher in the rankings if your page title was Lynn Von Kersting: All the Best vs. All the Best: Lynn Von Kersting. Of course your homepage title should be “All the Best” but I’d also add a descriptive few words after it, like “All the best: Style Blog” or whatever.

I’m not sure how easy this is to do in Blogger cause I use wordpress :)

I am finally coming up on Google, but only after a couple of other katiedid sites that are VERY different from moi! I really should have thought out my blog name a little more thouroughly! I do not come up on Yahoo at all. I can feel your frustration!

Did you ever work this out? Are you on Feedburner? I think this is a must to be on Feedburner. Did you get on it? I’m curious. Will you email me and let me know, I’m worried about this. smile.

It is fun to see what words people are using to search and find your blog.
You have such a beautiful site. I’m glad I found it!

You also want to develop links between your pages and to other sites you enjoy who in return will link to yours. Google places much emphasis on links to your site. And if the links have the blog entry titles in them rather than the words “click here”, that is even better. You can also increase the keyword density by literally using the keywords more often and increasing the font size / boldness of your keywords.
