Another wonderful giveaway for one lucky All the Best Reader – The Beautiful Phoebe Vase Designed by Frances Palmer ($135 value).

Frances’ fabulous handmade pieces are deliberately asymmetrical, with quirky misaligned fluting that dramatically expresses the hand of the artist. All work is produced by the artist herself in her Connecticut studio. Special collections have been commissioned by the Philip Johnson Glass House, the Neue Galerie and the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

So what do you do for a chance to win? Simply click here and have a look at Frances’ website and then leave a comment on All the Best Blog (at the bottom of this post) telling us what you love most about Frances Palmer Pottery. It’s that simple.

The Necessary Verbiage: Contest closes on Monday, September 26, 2011. One reader will be selected at random by a third-party and announced on All the Best Blog on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Good Luck!

Frances Palmer’s organic yet elegant pieces combine the best elements of pottery and luxuriously constructed textiles, preserving the impact of the human hand on clay while recalling the depth and pattern of a heavy brocade.

Doesn’t Frances’s work make you smile? I would die for a large fruit-filled pedestal on my dining room table, or a collection of small vases and bowls gracing my mantel or credenza. I think her forms and glazes are elegant, artistic, and befitting of any decor. I may be ready to take the plunge.

I first saw Frances’ pottery in Garden Design Magazine and it has been on my mind ever since. I blogged about it when I first saw it on May 24, 2011. I fully appreciate the artistry of this pottery — unfortunately, it is a not a reality for a girl with my budget (me!). I would very much like to win this vase and give it to my twin sister for our birthday.
