The World of Muriel Brandolini
Marisa Berenson A Life in Pictures
The Way Home by Jeffery Bilhuber
I flipped through the Marisa Berenson book last weekend and it was absolutely lovely! Would be absolutely thrilled to receive a box full of Rizzoli books.
So many great options, but my vote is for Oliver Messel because his work is so amazing. He is truly a talented artist and I cannot wait to get a preview into all of the homes in Mustique and England that he has decorated!
Wow…choose?Anything Rizzoli is a must have!!!Twist my arm & i’d have to say Live, Love & Decorate by the fabulous M.L.Bullard.The title is my daily mantra.
I am not good at decisions so I’ll just take them all !!! I can envision drinking coffee in bed while perusing one of these volumes to ignite my imagination…i need these.. so just send them my way…will be very grateful…p.s. I promise not to get coffee stains on any of the pages…
It’s hard to pick just one as they all look amazing!
If I have to choose, I would say The Way Home by Jeffery Bilhuber. Aren’t we all trying to find our way home? Seriously though, love his work as well as that of all of these other highly talented people!
Delicious, all! First photo, yum. Second photo, Muriel Brandolini, I said to myself, ” what one can do with a corner! Inspiration” . Third photo, and on and on.
Would love to have the freedom to buy $500.00 worth of Rizzoli books.
I am most anxious to read the Ralph Lauren book. He leads such an inspirational life and has a lovely family. I would love to learn more about this legendary American.
Anything from Rizzoli is fabulous! Of these titles, I am most looking forward to reading “Marisa Berenson A Life in Pictures”. All of the designers are amazing, so it is a difficult choice. But I choose Marisa, as she has an incredible sense of personal style.
,Oh to win those fabulous books
with all those beautiful designing looks!
Way to hard to just pick one , but if i have to i would say . The way home , I just adore the title ,I would so love to settle down with a nice hot cup of tea and spend hours reading them all , Getting ideas and enjoy the quite that any book can give , With my little dog curled up beside me and the warmth of the fire near ,, The perfect afternoon ,,
These gorgeous books take my imagination on vacation!
All of these decor books are fab! Jeffrey Bilhuber’s “The Way Home”, looks to be educational with all the American great house treasures, with ways to adapt to today’s lifestyles. Also, Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s “Live,Love and Decorate” looks like “eye candy”! Loved his segments on Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators. So nice of you to offer this to your devoted blog readers!
Cannot wait for Live, Love and Decorate!
Oliver Messel.. So talented…his green is beautiful!
I drool over anything by Michael Smith and this book is no exception!
I would choose “The World of Muriel Brandolini” as she is a most interesting woman as she does both interiors and fashion and her taste is very unique
What a wonderful giveaway – books are such a source of inspiration and are so beautiful. If I had to choose I guess I’d have to say The Way Home and Ralph. The former because I think the concept – reflections on American beauty – is so intriguing. There are some many ways to interpret “American” beauty. The latter because in the same vein Ralph being the true American icon that he is, it would just be wonderful to have this reflection on his life. Thanks again!
Such an education I would receive reading these books.
It’s a tough decision, but I like *The Way Home*. Wonderful assortment of books!
Just thinking about all of those beautiful images that I have yet to see is inspiring! My first impulse was to choose Michael S Smith’s Kitchens and Baths as that’s what I do. However, the style and elegance of Marisa Berenson really energizes my vision. That’s my pick and I’m sticking with it! Thanks for the opportunity…it brought me joy.
How fun it would be to have these books on my coffee tables! I think the Ralph Lauren would be my first choice. So perfect for the lake cabin.
My wife and ! are retired and love design blogs, books and inspiration. We do feel a loss of “pretty” in many of today’s designs. Definitely the Oliver Messel book. This man had it all:exuberance, talent, knowledge of the past, successes in both the old and new worlds. And thanks for your inspiring blog.
Definitely the Oliver Messel book. The man had it all:exuberance, talent,an excellent grounding in the past, energy, creativity and great success in boyh the old and new worlds. Thanks for your inspiring blog.
It would have to be Michael Smith / Kitchens & baths, I remember first meeting with Michael in the 80′s. Those were the days in Southern California!
I would have to say that the Marisa Berenson book would be at the top of my list. However, I would appreciate adding any of the books to my library.
From the time I received Rizzoli’s Venetian Villas 24 years ago, I’ve realized that Rizzoli books are divine..I would love any or all to add to my collection but may prefer Martyn Lawrence Bullard since he is so “delicious!”
Oliver Messel. That picture is perfect–you could be there barefoot in jeans or in velvet and pearls and be appropriately attired for a wonderful, relaxed time.
I am so excited for Michael S Smith’s book. Kitchens are the most used room in the house and it is wonderful to have a book just devoted to them!
Each and every one is fabulous. What an addition they would be to my library of design and fashion.
It is nearly impossible to choose but i need inspiration to re-do my apt. I am probably most drawn to the Michael Smith book because his work balances comfort and style in a way so few easily achieve. I am also curious about Martyn’s book because he is a friend and has great creative flair and originality.
Books are not made for furniture, but there is nothing else that so beautifully furnishes a house. ~Henry Ward Beecher
Ralph Lauren would be my selection. Mr. Lauren has not just created a “look”, he has created a way to live. A way to co-exist with beauty and design.
I am most anxiously awaiting Marisa Berenson- A Life in Pictures. As a designer, although I love books of interiors, I believe great design is truly created when the space evokes the lifestyle that one lives- or desires to live. I think this book would be inspiring as each of her pictures have such great design that can be translated from fashion and lifestyle into an interior space. I would be honored to have all 8 books- such inspiration!!!!!
I WANT THE BOOK “THE WORLD OF MURIEL BRANDOLINI”!!!!!!
SHE IS THE MOST STYLISH WOMEN I HAVE EVER SEEN, AND IT COMES LIKE A SECOND NATURE TO HER.. THE STORY OF HER LIFE AND CHILDHOOD IS WELL WORTH GOOGLING…
XXOO
MELISSA LEE
Thank you for this great opportunity! I would love the Oliver Messel book as I have been fortunate to visit some of the properties he designed many years ago in the Caribbean and they are breathtaking.
What a great giveaway. Please count me in!
Live, Love and Decorate caught my eye, ’cause it seems to fit with my own mantra of love where you live!
I did not see my comment – was it too lengthy? Love these kind of books…
Not sure why…did not see another comment?
Best,
Ronda
