Shopping

Just 18 more days until I leave for New York and I can’t wait. So instead of posting my regular ‘Shopping on Saturday’ yesterday I actually went shopping for my trip. I am still trying to work out in my mind what to wear for Courtney Cochran’s book launch. Perhaps I should save myself the mental torture and just ask Courtney.
But here is the big question, why is it that when you need/want new clothes and you have the money to spend you can NEVER find anything to buy? Am I the only person in the world that suffers this quandary on a regular basis?
As always I found some great handbags at Zara. I love Zara for well-made, fashionable and affordable bags. The photo above was my purchase from last winter. At the end of the day I did purchase an adorable pair of Carvela flats and a pair of black trousers. Not exactly what I had in mind when I set out on my shopping excursion, but I love them nonetheless.
The Husband asks: we have the money to spend?
To answer my husband’s question: as long as I keep the budget!
oooh i love the flats!! great find!
YES!!! I suffer the same quandary all the time. The moment I don’t have the money I will find EVERYTHING to buy!
Hi Ronda!
I hope you have a fab time and I love those shoes! I like anything that goes with both brown and black. Doubles the wearability!
Me too Katie!!!
Oh I love Zara too – I am from Portugal, and I used to buy really nice handbags which would last me a season but would do their job.
Oh oh oh I am in love with those flats! How cute are they?!
I always have the problem of not finding anything to buy…
So I end up with buying staff for my alter ego that is satisfied with anything cute.
My true self prevails in the end and I never wear the new stuff, but I stick to my old practical stuff.
whew – im so glad to hear im not the only one to have that problem :0) its always when i have no moolah that i find that perfect pair of patent flats at jcrew (yay for my employee discount!)
and then when i need a new dress for a friends wedding and have the extra cash – i cant find anything that doesnt look like im 17 or 95
just like the old adage, don’t wait to use the good stuff! buy good stuff and you can wear it without feeling the need to shop for every entrance. Style makers develop by building and wearing the item or article without it wearing them. Chanel said, ” Luxury is comfort” – (and those flats say comfort!)
That’s always my reply to my husband too!! How funny! I love that pic, and the flats. And I always have that problem, no money – tonnes of things I want..money to burn…nothing looks good. sigh.
That bag is so fab!!
